Sunday steak buffet at Brasserie Askur

For decades, Icelanders have sought out Brasserie Askur when it comes to pampering themselves. Established in 1966, Askur is one of Reykjavík’s oldest restaurants, where tradition, good food and a cozy atmosphere go hand in hand.

The steak buffet offers succulent meats, classic sauces and a rich selection that has made the place a favorite for generations of guests.

At the steak buffet, the experience begins with a varied salad bar with fresh vegetables and elaborate dishes such as carpaccio, smoked and cured salmon, along with soup and freshly baked bread. The main buffet features a selection of meats, including beef steak, Icelandic leg of lamb, crispy pork belly and turkey breast, with side dishes such as potato gratin, root vegetables and baked potatoes. The taste experience is completed with classic sauces – mushroom sauce and our famous béarnaise sauce.

Finally, a dessert buffet awaits with offerings including meringue pie and French chocolate cake. A delicious end to a good meal.
